Red Deer teen girl now missing over a month

Red Deer RCMP have expressed growing concern about a 14-year-old girl who has been missing for more than a month.

Red Deer RCMP have expressed growing concern about a 14-year-old girl who has been missing for more than a month.

Const. Sabrina Grunow of city RCMP said on Friday that they are still searching for Cassidy Carlile, who was last seen on Aug. 9.

She was last seen at the Parkland Youth Home in the Glendale subdivision where she walked away on her own volition, Grunow said.

Police believe she is in the Red Deer area, but no contact has been made with her since.

“We’re concerned because after all she is just a girl,” Grunow said.

Carlile is described as Caucasian, 1.58 metres (five feet, two inches) tall, and weighs 52 kg (115 pounds) with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call RCMP at 403-343-5575 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
