Been meaning to try a little Kubb?

Then the Sports Smorg set for April 28-30 and hosted by Sons of Norway’s Aspelund Lodge is the event for you.

Kubb, a Viking toss game, is just one of the activities planned. Yard yatchi, darts, Norsky golf, Norwegian whist, Norwegian tile rummy and a visit to Red Deer’s Laft Hus Museum are among the events planned.

On April 28, a meet and greet begins at 5 p.m. at Downtown House at 5414 43rd St. and is followed by a stew supper at 6 p.m.

The games begin on April 29 at 9:30 a.m. at Festival Hall at 4214 58th St. and run until 4 p.m. with a break for lunch.

That night, a banquet takes place at Downtown House. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

A farewell breakfast takes place at Downtown House at 9 a.m. on April 30.

Tickets cost $75 for three days, $50 for Saturday only (games, banquet and entertainment), $25for banquet and entertainment only or $15 for farewell breakfast only.
