Olds College’s 5th annual Paper Dress Competition for Grade 11 and 12 students will be held Saturday at Southcentre Mall in Calgary.

The Fashion Institute by Olds College is hosting the event with 13 teams from Red Deer, Airdrie and Calgary competing.

Each two-person team will create a dress entirely out of paper products and will be judged on their designs.

This is the second event in the competition. The first event was held March 4 at Sunridge Mall with two teams from Calgary and one team from Airdrie taking top honours. The second event will have different teams competing.

Saturday’s event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Judging begins at 1 p.m. Southcentre Mall is located at 100 Anderson Rd SE in Calgary.

The Fashion Institute by Olds College, located in the heart of downtown Calgary, offers two programs: Fashion Marketing Certificate and Apparel Technology Diploma.
