Sunchild First Nation pedestrian killed in hit and run

A man who was walking on the Sunchild First Nation on Thursday evening was found dead after RCMP received a report of a hit and run incident.

Rocky Mountain House RCMP responded to a 911 call just before 9 p.m. Along with Emergency Medical Services, they found a 55-year-old man from the reserve deceased.

The scene of the collision remains under investigation by the Rocky Mountain House RCMP with the assistance of the General Investigation Section and the Forensic Identification Section.

The next of kin of the victim have been advised. His identity will not be released by the RCMP.
