The City of Red Deer is warning motorists of two partial road closures on major transportation routes in the city.

A partial lane closure will start next week on Taylor Drive at the 43 Street intersection.

Beginning Monday, April 15, a portion of the right northbound lane of Taylor Drive will be closed as crews work to extend the right-hand turning lane onto 43 Street.

Work is expected to be completed by the end of May. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to find alternate routes to access the Red Deer Regional Hospital and surrounding business area.

There will also be a temporary lane closure on southbound Gaetz Avenue from April 15 to April 19. From 34 Street to 51 Avenue will be reduced to two lanes. The western-most lane of southbound Gaetz Avenue will be temporarily closed as construction work is completed.

Drivers are reminded to slow down when approaching or driving in construction areas and obey all signs.

This work is weather dependent, and schedules may be subject to change. For more information about road closures, visit www.reddeer.ca/roadclosures.
