Two men arrested after store brawl

Firearms and knives seized after two suspects arrested

Two men have been charged after allegedly fighting with store security last week.

RCMP said they were called to a south Red Deer business last Saturday after getting a report of a fight at the store and that the men may be carrying firearms.

Two suspects were located in a vehicle outside the store. One tried to flee and was captured after a brief foot chase.

Police seized two firearms and several knives.

Vincent Luigino Vanin, 26, is facing numerous weapons charges including three charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, assault and resisting a police officer.

Vanin will appear in Red Deer provincial court on June 6.

Thomas Jeffrey Houle, 20, is also facing numerous weapons charges including carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unsafe storage of a firearm and possession of a prohibited loaded firearm.

Houle is due to appear in Red Deer provincial court on May 31.
