Greece fatal rockfall
Damaged cars stand next to huge fallen rocks on the main highway linking north and southern Greece at the Vale of Tempe, south of Thessaloniki, on Thursday. An Italian engineer was crushed to death Thursday by a falling boulder while inspecting damage to the highway. Two more people with him escaped unhurt after diving into a ditch. The rock falls, which started late Wednesday after heavy rains, forced authorities to close the road indefinitely.
