A Red Deer lottery winner’s decision to take a accidentally printed ticket turned into $100,020.

Tasha Lynch won on a Lotto Max and Extra ticket she hadn’t even intended to buy.

“I asked the clerk for a $24 Super Pack, but he accidentally printed a different pack instead,” she said. “He printed the correct pack of tickets, but I decided to take the Lotto Max ticket he had already printed too.”

That ticket matched the last six winning Extra digits on the Jan. 27 draw to win $100,000. It also matched four of the main winning Lotto Max numbers to win another $20.

She plans to put most of the money toward a new house and also take a trip to Las Vegas for a long-overdue honeymoon.

Lynch purchased her winning tickets at Neighbours Petro Canada, located at 3330 Gaetz Avenue in Red Deer.
