POMARE, Adele Rosina
May 26, 1921 - April 16, 2017
Born in the Italian Dolomites in 1921, Adele lived a third of her life in Italy, a third in Kenya, and a third in Canada. Though 95, her death came as a surprise: her vitality and spirit were ever present and the last day of her life was full of laughter.
She was predeceased by her husband Fioretto, is survived by her son Eraldo and daughter-in-law Barbara, and her daughter Marina Pomare-Kaplan and son-in-law Paul Kaplan (Florida). She also leaves behind her grand-children Sarah Pomare, Vi Kaplan and Xan Kaplan. She will be greatly missed but forms a fundamental part of those she leaves behind, and so is not gone.
Her family extends thanks to the staff and residents of Pines Lodge and Comfort Keepers for their care, work and the love they showed.
A private cremation was attended by her family on April 18th, and her ashes will be interred in her beloved village in the mountains.
