Aileen BINGHAM

BINGHAM, Aileen Bingham (BUGG) of Sylvan Lake passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on June 8, 2006 at the age of 84 years. Aileen was born September 13, 1921 and was raised in Mannville, Alberta. She married Jim in 1942 and lived and raised her family in several central Alberta communities, the last one being Sylvan Lake. Aileen married Cal in 1970 and lived in Caroline until 1996. She was an active member of the Royal Purple, Branch #177 of the Royal Canadian Legion, Meals on Wheels and operated the concession at the Caroline Curling Rink for several years where many enjoyed her amazing home cooking. For the last few years, she resided in the Sylvan Lake Lodge. All that knew her will remember her for her strong sense of family, her quiet ways and her quick sense of humor. Her memory will be cherished by her children Robert (Fran) Bugg of Red Deer, Garry (Leona) Bugg of MacKenzie, B.C., Howard (Jude) Bugg of Edson, AB, Brian (Leta) Bugg of Sylvan Lake, Merle (Margaret) Houseman of Courtney, B.C., and June (Blair) Pardy of Calgary, AB; 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; 1 brother Eddie (Nell) McFadden of Terrace, B.C. as well as 2 sisters Dorothy Brydon and Norma (Jack) Willis of Mannville, Alberta. Aileen was predeceased by her parents Eber and Dorothea McFadden; her sister Rheta Smith; husbands James Bugg in 1968 and Cal Bingham in 1988. Aileen’s family wish to extend appreciation and thanks to the doctors and staff of the Sylvan Lake Medical Clinic and the staff of unit 32 of the Red Deer Regional Hospital for their kind care during these last weeks. A special thank you goes out to the staff and residents of the Sylvan Lake Lodge. A service of remembrance will be held at the Chapel of the Sylvan Lake Funeral Home, 5019 47A Avenue, on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. Inurnment will follow the service at the Sylvan Lake Cemetery. Cremation entrusted to the Rocky Mountain Crematorium. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made in Aileen’s name to a charity of the Donor's choice.
