NABER, Albert Georg

Jul 18, 1948 - April 6, 2017

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce that Albert Georg Naber passed away peacefully on April 6, 2017, at the age of 68 years. Albert will be lovingly remembered by his wife of forty-four years, Hilde-gunde and his children, Barbara (Joe), Dorothea, David (Amanda), Claudia (Christian), and Monica (Curtis). He will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren Zoe, Caitlin, Sloan, Zachary, and Savanna.

Albert and Hildegunde immigrated from Germany to Elk Point, Alberta in 1976 and made Red Deer their home in 1996. In Elk Point, he was actively involved in 4-H, Minor Hockey, Community Choir and Church Council. He was the Red Deer German Canadian Club President from 2001-2006. Albert loved farming, was a community man and was always willing to help where he was needed.

The family would especially like to thank all of those who supported and cared for Albert during his long illness.

Those who wish to pay their respects may do so on Thursday, April 20th at St. Mary's Parish, 6 McMillan Ave Red Deer; with a public viewing at noon and Funeral Mass to follow at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to Doctors Without Borders (www.msf.ca).

Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.eventidefuneralchapels.com.
