Alfred SCHIER

SCHIER Alfred William, formerly of Lashburn, Saskatchewan and late of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away in Red Deer on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at the age of 76 years, after a short courageous battle with cancer. Alfred was born in Lashburn, Saskatchewan on June 18, 1932. He moved to Red Deer, Alberta at an early age and was employed for many years by the City of Red Deer where he worked until taking early retirement. Alfred was predeceased by his mother Martha in 1950, his father William in 1972 and his sister Hilda in 1997. Alfred is survived by his brothers, Eric (Martha) of Chilliwack, BC, Walter (Irene) and Max (Thelma) of Regina, SK, and numerous nieces and nephews. There was no funeral by request. Alfred's cremated remains were interred in the Red Deer Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Red Deer Funeral Home, Red Deer, AB and Speers Funeral and Cremation Services, Regina, SK.
