Alvina HECK

HECK Alvina Heck of Red Deer went peacefully to the arms of Jesus with her daughters by her side at the Lacombe Hospital on December 6, 2006 at the age of 80 years. Alvina was born in Bentley on July 3, 1926 to Gilmour and Alice Anderson. She met the love of her life, Michael Heck in Victoria in 1942 and they were married in 1944. They moved to Lacombe in 1945 and then to Red Deer in 1946. Alvina worked with her husband at the Red Deer Park Hotel, then later she worked at the West Park Nursing Home and then at Pines Lodge. After retiring she took care of husband until his passing in February 2005. Alvina will be lovingly remembered by two daughters; Marlene (Oran) Cabelka of Bentley and Dianne (Ron) Stratichuk of Edmonton, five grandchildren; Devin, Sheila, Lynn, Terry and Lauri and ten great grandchildren; Dustin, Colbin, Kellin, Brandon, Katrina, Zachariah, Jamie, Jaret, Samuel and Jaida. She is also survived by one brother, Gerald (Shirley) Anderson of Penhold, two sisters; Grace Maga of Red Deer and Mildred Dickey also of Red Deer as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Alvina was predeceased by her husband, Michael, one sister, Clara Irwin and her parents, Gilmour and Alice Anderson.
