ANCION May Irene Ancion passed away on August 25, 2005 at Trochu, Alberta. May was born on April 29, 1926 at Pollockville, Alberta. She moved with her parents and Grandmother in 1934 to Lousana, Alberta. She started school at Trenville, a small country school, where she attended until grade nine. She then went to Lousana for High School. When she finished she went to work at Delburne as a switchboard operator. From there she went to Vern's Taxi in Red Deer and then to a boarding house where three of us girls worked feeding 40 men three meals a day. On March 6, 1946 she married Leslie Ancion and moved back to Lousana. Together they had five children: David, Lloyd, Maxine, Karl and Keith. They were May's pride and joy. She enjoyed gardening and her flowers. In 1967 she moved to Calgary where she got a job at Sears for ten years, making drapes. She spent the next ten years at home making drapes, bedspreads, etc. She loved to knit and crochet in her spare time, until her eyesight deteriorated and she could not continue. May will be lovingly remembered by her children, their spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
