PARENTEAU Anna Laura 1923 - 2008 Anna Laura Parenteau, beloved wife of Mr. Tom Parenteau of Red Deer passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the age of 84 years. Anna was born September 14, 1923 on the family farm near Ferland, Saskatchewan. She attended business school in Regina, and worked in various office services roles at several locations across Canada. While in Regina, she met Tom, her husband of sixty-one years. Anna and Tom raised three children while living in several army bases across Canada, before settling in Calgary in 1958. Later, Anna and Tom moved to Frenchman Butte, Saskatchewan to run the local service station. They retired to Red Deer in 1993 to be closer to family. Anna got along with everyone; she was patient, hard-working, compassionate and had a great sense of humour. She loved dancing, baking, gardening, curling and traveling. Anna is survived by her husband Tom, daughters Peggy (Bob) Eccleston and Carole (Ian) Parker, both of Calgary, and son Rob (Leslie) Parenteau of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, as well as five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Anna was predeceased by her brother, Don McTaggart in 1993. A Memorial Service will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapels, 4820 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 11:00 am. Cremation entrusted to Central Alberta Crematorium.
