Arthur SKAGE

SKAGE Arthur (Art) Kenneth Skage passed away Saturday, August 13, 2005 at the age of 74 in the Red Deer Regional Hospital. Art was predeceased by his wife and best friend of 43 years, Lucy Skage, his son Dan Skage, brother Melvin Skage, and sisters Mrs. Lil Morgan, Mrs. Gladys McDermand, Mrs. Austrin Sankey, Mrs. Myrtle Tunder, and Mrs. Hazel Victor. Left to cherish his memory are daughters Lorrie (Miles) Skage-Brown, Holly (Vince) Morelli, and son Rick (Gail Nephin), and daughter-in-law Tracy; grandchildren Amy (Fred) Lesage, Ardra (Mathew) Epp, Jodi (Steve), Corey, Nicholas, Michael, and Tony, and great grandson Daniel; brothers John (Elsie) and Ron (Elsie) and sister Mrs. Agnes Watson. Art is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, much loved in-laws, and let's not forget his closest pal, Spike. The employees and customers were Art's fondest memories of his 45 years with Alpha Milk. In the early years Art was the first Ice Cream driver in Central Alberta. He enjoyed working with wood, either building miniature towns, 30 scroll pictures or the many Diamond Willow canes and walking sticks. Some of his favorite times were spent at Pine Lake with many great friends. Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 19, 2005 at Sunnybrook United Church, 12 Stanton Street, Red Deer, AB at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Paul Mullen officiating. Cremation entrusted to Central Alberta Crematorium. Sympathy may be expressed by memorial contributions to a charity of choice.
