Austin MORRICAL

MORRICAL, Austin LeRoy 26 Jan. 1936-3 Aug. 2007 Austin L. Morrical passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital at 71 years of age after a long and hard battle with diabetes. He will be missed and lovingly remembered for his kind heart and generous nature to all. Austin was born in Lacombe and grew up on the family farm east of Lacombe. He then spent several years working in Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan until he returned to run and take over the farming operations from both his father Parley and his father- in-law, Lloyd Mitchell, in the early sixties. Austin successfully ran the farming business until his retirement in 1996. While farming, Austin and his first wife, Marion raised their young family, enjoying many family camping and traveling vacations. Austin also enjoyed playing Bridge, fishing with friends and family, spending time with his children and traveling the world, where he eventually found and created a second home in Thailand, spending his winters there and meeting his second wife, Buaban. Austin has left behind his loving wife, Buaban, son, Steven (Lisa), daughter, Christine (Martin) Day, brother, Clarence (Correen), sister, Louise (Norm) Arrison, and six grandchildren; Aryn (Josh) Nelson, Emily and Abbey Morrical, Lauren, Ryan and Brook Day. In addition to his parents, Austin was predeceased by his daughter, Andrea, brothers, Lloyd and Norman and two infant sisters. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Wilson's Funeral Chapel, 6120 Highway 2A, Lacombe, AB.
