ARDITH (Weir) Bannister 1943-2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ardith Mae Bannister at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Thursday, June 23 at the age of 62. She will be missed more than words can say by her best friend and husband-of-the-heart, Russell Bannister; son Jeffrey; daughters Naomi (Larry), Terri (John), Angela (Ken), and foster-daughter Denise (Joe). Ardith’s grandchildren Alysha, Tori, Erica, Jayce, Hailey, and Riley were the lights of her life and gave her tremendous hope and happiness. Ardith is also survived by her sister Sheila (Laurence) Reid; brothers David (Sheila), Earl, Dale (Yvonne), and Royden (Suzanne) Weir; sisters-in-law, Vivian, Beatrice (Gerald), and Pauline (Merle). She was predeceased by her father David, mother Sadie Weir, and brothers Gerald and Merle. Besides her immediate family, Ardith touched the lives of countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She accepted everyone just the way they are; therefore, we invite you to attend her funeral services just the way you are. A public viewing will be held Wednesday, June 29, 5 p.m. until 6 p.m., with funeral service at 11:00 am Thursday, June 30 with the Reverend Donnalyn Froese officiating. Both services will be held at the Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287-67A Street, Red Deer, Alberta. Graveside service to follow at Alto Reste Cemetery. In living memory of Ardith Mae Bannister, a tree will be planted in the Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium Memorial Tree Park.
