Basil MADGE

MADGE Basil Raymond Madge of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Monday, January 15, 2007 at the age of 62 years. Basil will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Lynn, two daughters; Lisa (Glen) Webb of Devon, AB and Leslie (Curtis) Weinrauch of Coronation, AB, four grandchildren; Adam and Don of Devon, AB and Amy and Brandon of Coronation, AB, as well as one great granddaughter Mercedes of Devon, AB, his mother, Lily Madge of Red Deer, one sister, Joy (Paul) Ranger of Red Deer, mother-in-law, Catherine Morrison of Red Deer, AB as well as many other relatives and friends, and his shitzu "Starr". Basil was predeceased by his one son, Timothy in 1968 and his father, Raymond in 2002. Basil was born March 10, 1944 in Calgary but was raised in Red Deer where he took his schooling. Basil was married in 1963 to Lynn Morrison. Basil became a Heavy Duty Mechanic in his early years. Later he spent seven years in the N.W.T. working for the Government. Basil loved to hunt and fish. He returned to Red Deer where he spent his last twenty-three years working for Border Paving. He enjoyed many days taking "Starr" for walks around McKenzie Trails. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #35. Those wishing to pay their respects can do so from Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 - 67A Street, Red Deer, AB on the evening of Thursday, January 18th, 2007 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service for the late Basil Raymond Madge will be held from Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 - 67A Street, Red Deer, AB on Friday, January 19, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with Leanne V. Hall officiating.
