BENOIT Mr. John Joseph Benoit "Joe" passed away peacefully in the presence of family at the Innisfail Hospital on July 26, 2008 at the age of 84. Joe is survived by his loving wife Jean of Innisfail. He was predeceased by his daughter Jacqueline in 1997 and grandson Felix Kuzmicki in 1999. He is survived by his sisters Jean (Anderson), Florence; brother Henry; sons Sergei (Rena), René (Evelyn), Vining (Joanne), Bartley (Cory), Mark (Andrea); daughters Michele (Rod), Marcia (Laurie/Abe); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joe and Jean were married on May 6, 1948 at St. Mary's Church with reception at the Club Café in Red Deer, AB. Prior to moving to Innisfail, Joe & Jean lived on "The Farm" west of Penhold, AB. They have been active members of the Innisfail Pentecostal Church for the past 21 years. He served for 9 years in the Canadian Armed Forces starting in WWII and then used his artistic talents in the construction industry. In Joe's memory, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta. A visitation will be held at the Innisfail Funeral Home & Crematorium (4414 49th St.) on Wednesday July 30, 2008 between 7:00- 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Innisfail Funeral Home & Crematorium on Thursday July 31, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor R.M.
