BOUKALL Mrs. Alice May Boukall (nee Benoit) went to be with her Lord and Saviour on January 24, 2007 at the age of 79 years. She was born March 11, 1927 in Calgary and raised in Vulcan. Alice fought a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Besides her loving husband of 55 years, Sid, she is survived by her children: Bruce of London, Ontario, Brenda Morie of Red Deer, Janice (Scott) Graham of Pine Lake and Lisa (Larry) Jenkinson of Edmonton. Her son Barrie predeceased her. Six grandchildren also survive her: Jason, Melissa, Joel, Jennifer, Jared and Ethan; together with great-grandchildren Taylor and Josh and their mother Jamie Allan and great-granddaughter Haley. She is also survived by two sisters Jeanne (Richard) Anderson of Aldergrove and Florence Benoit of Vancouver; two brothers Joe (Jean) of Innisfail and Henry (Irene) of Thornhill, Ontario; three sisters - in - law Doris Boukall of Calgary, Mildred Boukall and Winona Djkowich both of Esterhazy, Saskatchewan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Alice was a great encouragement to all who knew her and spent countless hours volunteering for the C.W.L., church and community. She was employed by F.C.S.S. until the time of her illness. She is now safe in the arms of Jesus. A Prayer Vigil will be held on Tuesday, January 30th at 7:00 p.m. at the Ponoka Funeral Home, 5115 - 50th Avenue with Alice's life being celebrated at a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, January 31st at 1:00 p.m. at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, 5113 - 52 Avenue, Ponoka. If desired, memorial tributes made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Ponoka Palliative Care or the Rimoka Foundation.
