Mrs. Ida Cossey of Innisfail passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2005 at the age of 80 years. Ida was born January 31, 1925 in LaGlace, Alberta. While in school she was athletic and loved high jump. At the age of 21 she moved to Innisfail and started work at the Post Office. Ida met Bob Cossey and was married in 1950. Out of this marriage they had four children. After her children were grown she became involved in numerous clubs and groups, Food Bank, Club 94, Garden Club, Friendship Club and Meal on Wheels. Her greatest loves were family, garden and her home. She had a heart of gold and a sunny outlook on life. She is survived by her children, Ardis Bourque (Charlie) of Fairbanks, Alaska, Becky Cossey of Innisfail, Glenn Cossey (Cindy) of Innisfail, Bonny Bruestle (Dietmar) of Red Deer, and seven grandchildren. She was also survived by Ingrid Churchill, Clara Dodd, George (Jenny) Slettle, Edna Ritten, Bob Cossey, numerous nieces and nephews. Ida was predeceased by her parents Inga and Gustav Slettle, brother Ole and sister Goodie. A Funeral Service for the Late Ida Cossey will be held Friday, October 28, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mark's Anglican Church, 4915 - 52 Street, Innisfail. Interment will follow at the Innisfail Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to St. Mark's Anglican Church, Innisfail or the charity of one's choice.
