BROWNLEE, February 13, 1919-August 8, 2005 On August 8, 2005, after a short and valiant battle with cancer. Donald Leroy Brownlee died as he lived, bravely and honorably. Don is survived by his wife of 23 years, Elizabeth Brownlee (Sadler), his sister Agnes Hickle of Red Deer, and brother Max (Denise) of B.C. Also left to mourn his passing are nephew and nieces, and nine stepchildren and their families, who all loved the wonderful man. Don was born and raised in Ardley, Alberta. He was a WW II Veteran, having served in Europe as a young man, and was a POW for almost three years. He was liberated, and returned to Alberta and enjoyed a long, happy life. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at the Parkland Christian Church, 5515 - 43 Street, Red Deer.
