CARLOS Mr. Jose Elopre Carlos of Red Deer passed away on December 26, 2005 at the age of 65 years. Jose was born January 5, 1940 in Dapitan City, Philippines. He immigrated to Canada in 1968 and spent seven years working as a lab technician in Smith Falls, Ontario. In July 1974, he moved to Red Deer and worked at Michener Centre until he retired in 1995. He served as the second President of the Philippines Canadian Association of Red Deer. He actively fund raised with the Lord of Pardon group for projects such as the Hospital Chapel construction as well as various other charities. Jose will be lovingly remembered by his wife Elsa Carlos; two sons, Joel Carlos of Red Deer and Gil Carlos of the United States, two grandchildren Jeffrey and Gilbert Carlos; one brother Jimmy Carlos of the Phillipines; one sister Nena Carlos Bellarama of Toronto, ON as well as numerous brother and sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Jose was predeceased by his parents Isabelo and Josefina Carlos; brothers, Benjamin, Roberto, Isabelo Jr.,; sisters, Nita Jacinto, Elisa Carlos and Pedro Candelario and Anita Candelario (Parents-In-law). There will be a time of public visitation on Thursday, December 29th, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 - 67A Street, Red Deer, AB as well as a Prayer Service on Friday, December 30th, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at Parkland Funeral Home with Father Paul Kavanagh, Celebrant. Funeral Mass for Mr. Jose Carlos will be held from St. Mary's Catholic Church, #6 McMillan Avenue, Red Deer, AB on December 31, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Paul Kavanagh, Celebrant. Cremation to follow. The family of the late Mr. Jose Elopre Carlos would like to acknowledge and thank the nurses and caregivers on Unit 32 of the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre.
