MURPHY Carmen Edward Murphy of Red Deer passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at the age of 55 years. Carmen will be lovingly remembered by his wife Patricia, his children; Kristle (Rob) West, Harold Murphy, Gerald (Melissa) Murphy and Coral (Rodey) Pihrag, seven grandchildren; his mother Eva Murphy, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Ralph Murphy. Carmen was born in Bathurst, New Brunswick on September 4, 1952. He married Patricia in 1973. For much of their early marriage they lived in Moncton, N.B. When transferred by his employer CN Rail, they moved to Winnipeg in 1986 where they spent many wonderful years with his family and friends. Due to illness, he resigned from the railway in 2003 and moved closer to his family in Alberta. Although the last few years of his life were full of trials, Carmen loved his family deeply and he loved the things of God. He will always be loved and greatly missed by those who knew him best. A Funeral Service will be held at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 - 67A Street, Red Deer, AB on Monday, October 15, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Alto Reste Cemetery in Red Deer.
