PRIOR, Charlotte Adele

May 9, 1934 - June 24, 2017

Charolette Adele Prior nee Wylie passed away peacefully on June 24, 2017. She was born May 9, 1934 to Harold and Ette Wylie. She is survived by her daughter Linda (Glenn) Dracass, Grandchildren Deirdre Lobb, Daryl (Jacquie) Dracass and her pride and joy, great grandchildren Kaelynn, Thomas, Teagen, Xadrian, Maeve, and Taryn. She will be greatly missed by her sister in-law Mary Dent, nephew Barry (Joan) Coombes and lifelong friends Shirley and Herbert Brown, Bob McMillen and Dorothy Dickson. She was predeceased by her parents, sister Beryl, sister in-law Olive, brother in-law Bill, infant daughter Corby and husband Tom. Adele was raised, married and worked in Winnipeg. In 1973 she and Tom moved to Alberta and lived in many places following Tom's work as an engineer/consultant. They finally settled in Calgary and retired to a life of volunteerism, gardening and camping. Sadly Tom died in 2000 in the Pine Lake tornado and Adele had to carry on without him. She moved to Red Deer and it was then that the first signs of Frontotemporal Dementia presented themselves. Adele has spent the last years of life constrained by the effects of dementia. The compassionate, loving, professional care of the "angels without wings" at Northcott Care Centre in Ponoka made her last days as comfortable as possible. Amazing Grace that God has set her free and she is once again talking, laughing and dancing with her family in Heaven.

Funeral Service will be held Friday June 30, 2017 at 11:00a.m., at Eventide Funeral Home, 4820 45st Red Deer, Ab.

In honor of Adele's commitment to volunteerism please consider giving of your time to an organization of your choice or make a donation to the Northcott Care Centre in Ponoka, Alberta.
