MELLOM, Clarence Edwin Mr. Clarence Edwin Mellom, born July 25, 1911 near Youngstown, Alberta, passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Friday, October 1, 2004 at the age of 93 years. Clarence is survived by Jane, his wife of fifty-one years; his daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Greg Smith and his daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Mark Low. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Kevin (Nadine) Smith, Heather Smith, Kia and Katelyn Low, and his sister, Norma Evans. Clarence was predeceased by his son, Arthur. Following a rewarding teaching career, Clarence enjoyed many retirement activities including skating, ice fishing and gardening. A Memorial Service will be held at Sunnybrook United Church, 12 Stanton Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday, October 7, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with The Reverend Jan Richardson officiating. Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. If desired, Memorial Donations in Clarence's honour may be made directly to a charity of the donor's choice.
