Connie BIRD

BIRD Connie Bird passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at the age of 71 years. Connie was born in Red Deer, was educated and lived in Calgary for 40 years, and spent the last 30 years in Red Deer. Many of her life-long interests included horse shows in which she won many awards, scuba diving in such places as Hawaii and Mexico, golfing at River Bend Golf Course in Red Deer, RV-ing in Arizona during the winter months for the last 30 years, and bridge playing with her great friends. She was also known for her creative talents. Her indoor hobbies included knitting and petit point pictures, as well as corporate investing. Connie will be lovingly remembered and cherished in the hearts of her husband Derek, only son Glen (Robin) Bird, only grandson Ben, two sisters Eileen and Eleanor, step-sister Kaye, one brother Bill, as well as other loving relatives and friends. In keeping with the wishes of Connie and her family, no memorial service will be held.
