COOK, Mr. Norman William Cook, beloved husband of Mrs. Brenda Cook of Red Deer, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Monday, January 23, 2006 at the age of 82 years. Norman was born on December 6, 1923 at Toronto, Ontario. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Norman was a faithful servant of the Lord and loved going to church. He was very highly committed to serving his church family and offering his help whenever needed. Norman was a true gentleman, quiet by nature and very caring toward his family and others. His family was very proud of Norman's traditional manly ways and his strong morals and values. Norman had a gentle side as well and his heart was filled with love for all animals. It seemed that Norman spoke to animals through his peaceful quiet manner and the bond was instant for both. Norman will be very sadly missed but lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of his family and dear friends. Norman leaves to mourn his loss, his loving wife, Brenda of Red Deer, his daughters, Darlene Shields (Alan Demille) of Taber, Alberta and Tammie (Lionel) Johnson of Irricana, Alberta, his step-son, Keith Coxall (Sandra) of Lacombe, Alberta, his grandchildren and his great grandchildren. Norman will also be very sadly missed many extended family members, his church family and his dear friends. A Public Celebration of Norman's Life will be held at the Bethany Baptist Church, 3901 - 44th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday, January 26, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
