Corene MILOS

May 23, 2007

MILOS Corene Wanette Milos passed away May 16, 2007 as the result of a car accident near Red Deer Alberta. Corene was born July 31, 1969 in Lacombe, Alberta, the second of 3 children of Frank and Teresa Milos she was brought up in B.C. from the age of 2. Corene took piano with Toronto Conservatory up to Grade 9. She loved to sing and had a beautiful soprano voice. She expressed herself with poetry from a very young age, covering a wide range of topics from her love of nature - to venting her frustrations in life, and her opinions on how the world should be run, always with a wry sense of humour. She always loved anything to do with nature. She went camping with her son often, even spending a season as a cook in a hunting camp in the Yukon. Corene was predeceased by her paternal grandparents Tom and Sylvia Milos of Vernon, B.C., her maternal grandfather David May of Kamloops, B.C. and grandmother Mona May of Kelowna B.C. Bruce Luross of Vernon, B.C., her former partner and her son Jared’s father passed away on November 23, 2006. Corene leaves behind her grieving parents, Frank and Teresa Milos of Toronto, Ontario, her sister Janece Milos of Armstrong, B.C., her brother Blaine Milos (Tamar), 3 nieces, Odele, Hinda and Gitel and one nephew Asher Anshel of Jerusalem, Israel. Most importantly, Corene was for the last 18 years, the loving and dedicated single mother of her son, Jared Milos, who is devastated by her loss. Jared, an honour roll student, is in his last year of high school, and was to graduate on June 8. Corene was proudly and eagerly looking forward to his graduation day when she would have celebrated that significant milestone after her many years of dedication to her son. With her last words to him, “I love you”, she promised to be with him always. With her warm, magnetic personality, Corene won and was loyal to a host of long-time friends who will miss her deeply, while cherishing memories of many wonderful times together. She will always remain beautiful in our memories – “forever young” - never to grow old or infirm. We long to be with her again in a better place and a happier time. A Celebration of her Life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2007 at the Festival Hall, 4214-58th St. in Red Deer, Alberta. Attendees are invited to write notes of comfort to her son and family, telling of their personal remembrances of her, which will be presented to the family in album form. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to a fund for her son’s college education, which was her most fervent and consuming goal.
