DAY 1935 – 2005. H. Michael C. Day, “A Man in a Million”, died in Red Deer on October 13, 2005, after a brief period of illness. He is survived, and lovingly remembered, by his beloved wife Margaret and his adored children, Helen, Ian & Sandra “daughter in law #1”, Malcolm & Sho “daughter in law #2”. He leaves behind an extended family of friends who will miss his quick wit, keen mind, and steadying hand on the throttle. He moved with his family to Red Deer in 1976 to be the City Manager, serving with dedication until his retirement in 1998. The Day family would like to thank Dr. Hamilton and the surgical staff, Dr. Jim and the dialysis team, the nursing staff, the respiratory technicians and everyone else involved in Mike’s care in Emergency, the Intensive Care Unit and other departments.
