DEERING, 1926 - 2007 Mrs. Frances Beatrice "Franky" Deering, beloved wife of the late Mr. John Deering of Red Deer, passed away with her family at her side, at the Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre, Lacombe, Alberta on Monday, January 29, 2007 at the age of 80 years. Franky was born on June 23, 1926 at Cardston, Alberta. She married her love, John in 1944 and together, they farmed most of their life and moved to Red Deer in 1967. Memories of Franky will be that, despite her small stature, she proved to be an incredibly hard worker sharing all farming tasks required, while somehow still finding the time to bestow unlimited love to her family. Franky leaves to mourn her loss, her children, Karen (Ray) Letourneau, Frank (Loa) Deering, Connie (Vern) Dentman, six grandchildren, Renee, Rachelle, John, Mark, Aarin and Annette and seven great grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by one brother, Stanley Flaig of Medicine Hat, Alberta, as well as numerous other family members and dear friends. Franky was predeceased by her parents, Otillia and George Flaig, a brother, Ken Schneider and a sister, Laurina Krauss. A Public Funeral Service in Franky's honour will be held at the Sunnybrook United Church, 12 Stanton Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, February 2, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Alto-Reste Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta.
