Dennis BRUCE

BRUCE Dennis Lloyd (1919-2008) Mr. Dennis Bruce of Red Deer (formerly Rimbey) passed away peacefully at Harmony Group of Care Home in Red Deer March 3, 2008 at the age of 88 years. Dennis was born in Hill City Minnesota October 12, 1919. At the age of 11, Dennis moved to Rocky Mountain House with his family. Dennis married Helen Spence in 1941 in Rocky, where they resided until 1943. In 1943 they moved to Burmis, where Dennis worked at the Burmis Lumber Mill. In 1948, they moved to Rimbey where they made their home and raised two daughters. Dennis moved to Red Deer in 2006. He is survived by his daughters Darlene Senio and Gayleen (Carl) Wine; granddaughters, Laurie (Darren) Allen, Cindy (Steven) Assen, and Carla (Bruce) McQuay; six great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Brianna & Kristina Allen, Hope Assen, Abigail & Jackson McQuay; 3 sisters-in-law, 1 brother-in-law, and numerous nieces & nephews. Dennis was predeceased by his wife Helen of 63 years (April 5, 2004), and son-in-law Ernie Senio (April 6, 2001). Dennis was also predeceased by his siblings. Funeral services will be held Saturday March 8, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Rimbey United Church. Inurnment will be held earlier at West Haven Cemetery.
