BROWN, Diane

Sept. 10, 1941 - Mar. 14,2017

Diane was born in Morden, Manitoba, grew up there and took her schooling there. At age 17 she moved to Winnipeg to attend business college. Diane met her husband Barry in Winnipeg and they were married in 1964. Diane did a fair bit of volunteering for numerous charities, Ronald McDonald house in Saskatoon, Red Deer Hospital Gift Shop, Red Deer Museum & Red Deer Golf and Country Club for various events. She enjoyed golfing, and although she was never going to be on the LPGA… she found great fun in playing with her friends. She also curled while in Winnipeg and was the ladies waterski champion in Manitoba for two years in a row. Diane took great pleasure in one of the most important things in life, building relationships. She loved to entertain and be with friends. Travel was another passion, she and Barry have seen a lot of the world together. Diane is survived by her husband Barry, daughter Krista and two grandchildren Nathan and Eric Clarke, son Grant and daughter in law Michelle and two grandchildren Sophie and Liam. At Diane's request there will be a celebration of her life at a later date. If friends so desire a donation in Diane's name can be made to: The ALS Society of Alberta.
