DIGNESS "Duane" Albert John Digness passed away peacefully in the Vernon Hospital on February 20, 2006 at the age of 65 years. Duane was born and raised in Carrot River, Sask. Later moving to Red Deer, Alberta, where he made his home for many years. He later retired in Vernon, B.C. Duane was a very talented man from wood-working to picking a five string banjo, but he excelled in salesmanship, selling cars, R.V.'s and anything that tickled his fancy. Duane is survived by his wife Grace, two sons, Kevin (Judy), grandsons John of Red Deer, Alberta, Ken (Terrilynn), Graeme, Garrett, granddaughter Kendra of Stony Plain, Alberta, one brother Cleland (Anne) of Carrot River, Sask., two sisters Darlene (Murray) Craig and Sharon (Don) Adams both of Red Deer, Alberta. Duane was predeceased by his parents and a brother. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke or Diabetes Foundations. Internment to follow at a later date at Carrot River, Saskatchewan.
