COLASUONNO, Domenico
Domenico Colasuonno passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017, at the age of 72 years, beloved husband of Linda Colasuonno of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory one daughter Francesca (Laurent) Maurize of Milton, Ontario; a daughter-in-law Lorette Valiquette of Grand Prairie; four grand-children, Gabriel Maurize, Anjelica, Veronica and Julian Colasuonno; Linda's son Lowell (Noelle) Parisian and their children Dominic and Kira J; a special person in Domenico's life, Jason (Amy) Berry and their son Jonah; six brothers, Vito (Yollanda) of Pickering, Ontario, Cesario, Antonio (Delores), Nicola (Ester), Francesco (Maria) and Pietro (Nadine) all of Belgium; two sisters, Addolarata (Vito) Focarazzo and Lucia (Francesco) Focarrazzo as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Francesca and Guiseppe Colasuonno and one son Guiseppe. Domenico was born on September 30, 1944, in Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1965, to work in Ontario as a carpenter. He worked throughout Canada building and installing cabinets. He eventually settled in Medicine Hat. Domenico enjoyed fishing, camping, travelling and especially the companionship of his dog Moe. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so on Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 9:30 - 10:25 a.m. Family and friends will gather for prayers in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church (238 2nd Ave N.E.) On Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Tomy Manjaly celebrant. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.
