Donald RING

RING Donald Harold lost his battle with cancer on January 25, 2007, and the world will never be the same. Don leaves to mourn his loving family: wife Lynne, daughters, Carrie (Philip) Lentz, Kimberly (Sean Graham) Ring, his brother, Jim (Leslie), brother-in-laws: Billy (Sheri), Rob, Don and Brian, nieces: Tracy, Melany, Tammy and nephews: Christopher, Duane, Shane and their children. Don was born on September 22, 1949 in Saskatoon, SK to parents Jack (Marion) Ring. Don married his high school sweetheart Lynne in 1971, and moved to Red Deer where they started their family and also opened Mid-Alta Motors. Don became an active member in the community with the Kiwanis Club, Big Brothers and the Alberta Youth Justice. In 1996 he sold his business and semi-retired. He enjoyed several new challenges including working at the Riverbend Golf Course, bartending, auto sales, and opening a service department for his friend. Most recently Don worked his dream job at Shaw Cable. A "farewell" will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, 2810 Bremner Avenue, Red Deer, AB on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Don’s memory can be made to the "Lending Cupboard", 5406C-43rd Street, Red Deer, AB T4P 1C9 which provides medical equipment to the people of Red Deer and surrounding areas.
