Donald STURDY

STURDY Donald Brian Sturdy born January 10, 1949 passed away peacefully on June 25, 2004 in Surrey Memorial Hospital ICU, surrounded by his family. He leaves behind two sons, Donald Brian Jr. and Christopher Adam; and Barbara Sturdy the mother of Don's sons, as well as his granddaughter, Stephanie Cheryl; whom he loved dearly. Also Don is survived by his parents, Ray and Helen; sister, Judith (Michael, Stacie); brother, Gilbert (Hana Layne); sister, Marilee and Andy (Tamara, Jesse); sister, Perri Ann and Tony (TJ, Cameron); brother, Wray. As well Don leaves behind numerous family members and friends whose lives he has touched forever. Don was such a proud and dignified gentleman that lived life to the fullest in everything he did, from going to Indy 500 car races or camping trips in the Kananaskis. He loved his Molson Canadian, his blues music and his Alberta beef. Despite an injury 29 years ago, leaving Don using a wheel chair due to quadriplegia, Don continuously overcame insurmountable struggles daily. Please join us in a celebration of Don's life on Friday July 2, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Ogden Legion, 2625-78th Avenue S.E., Calgary. From the Powder Blues Band Don, "Keep on doin' it right".
