It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doug Beitel on July 17, 2017 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre at the age of 72 years. Doug was born in Moose Jaw, SK to Marian (Reed) and Frank. Left to cherish Doug's memory are his daughter Heather (Patrick) and granddaughter Hannah Franssen of Langdon AB; son-in-law Cal and grand-children Stephanie and Matthew Clooten of Calgary; sister Doris (Doug) Downs; niece Theresa (Justin) Cowen; nephews Greg (Duoyi) and Andy Downs, all of New Zealand; sister Dianne (Chris), niece Haley and nephew Reed Himsl of Calgary. Doug was predeceased by his parents, and daughter, Barb Clooten. A Memorial Service will be held in the private function room at the ABC Restaurant, 2085 - Gaetz Ave, Red Deer AB on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m..
