SLATER, Douglas Richard On November 1, 2006 Mr. Doug Slater of Ponoka passed away at the age of 46 years. Doug is survived by his wife Dinnia; son Austin; mother Phyllis Slater; brother Robert (Rhonda); nieces Kelsey and Savannah; nephew Kyle Friesen; uncles Harry (Peg) Petersen and Norm Slater; aunt Vera Slater; as well as many cousins and friends. Doug was predeceased by his father Floyd Slater in 1989 and his sister Ellen Friesen in 2003. Visitation will be held at Ponoka Funeral Home (5115-50th Avenue) from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 6th followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at the Ponoka United Church (5020-50th Avenue).
