OLSEN Edith Amanda Olsen of Red Deer, beloved wife of the late Marvin Olsen passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Thursday, February 16, 2006 at the age of 72 years. Edith was born and raised in Spruceview, and schooled at Craig, AB. Edith married Marvin, moved and raised her family at Red Deer where she was a fifty-year resident. She was remembered as being a very kind and patient person with an excellent sense of humor. She absolutely loved her children and adored her grandchildren. Edith will be lovingly remembered by her only daughter, Debbie (Jamie) Marshall of Sudbury, ON; two sons, Don Marshall and Dean (Joe-lynn Glasgow) Marshall both of Red Deer, six grand- children; Megan, Kris, Tyler, Jesse, Jordan, Aidan, three brothers; Gerald (Lydia) Schmidek, Harold (Elsie) Schmidek, Marvin (Doreen) Schmidek; two sisters, Gertie Pither and Marlene Sveinson as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Edith was predeceased by her husband Marvin Olsen, sister, Ella Wandler, and two brother-in-laws, John Pither and Ralph Sveinson. A Funeral Service for Edith Olsen will be held from Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 18 Selkirk Blvd., Red Deer, AB on Monday, February 20th, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend James Schuelke officiating.
