Edith TARZWELL

TARZWELL Edith Tarzwell, beloved wife of Lyle Tarzwell, passed away in the Red Deer Hospice February 28, at the age of seventy-seven. She was born in Alix, Alberta to Lilian (Bays) and Gilbert Rogers and spent her childhood on the family farm. In 1949 Edith married Lyle Tarzwell and together they farmed and raised four children. She loved children and family, nature, gardening, animals, birds and traveling, enjoying her life to the fullest. Her generous and welcoming spirit made her home the focal point of family meals and gatherings. Edith is survived her loving husband Lyle, her four children Thea Woffindin (David), Eileen Eggenschwiler (Oz), Connie Brooks (Richard) and Robert Tarzwell (Lori) twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, as well as brother Harold Rogers, and sisters Mabel Tarzwell (Melvin) and Kit Kostenuk. Her brother Joseph Rogers and grandson Adam Davison predeceased her. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 6 at St. Andrews United Church, Lacombe. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 4730A Ross St., Red Deer, AB T4N 1X2, the Red Deer Hospice Society, 99 Arnott Ave., Red Deer, AB T4R 3S6 or a charity of your choice.
