RUSSELL Edward (Ted) Russell of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at the age of 78 years. Ted will be lovingly remembered by his three brothers: Norman of Alix, AB, Arthur (Evelyn) of Red Deer, AB, Don (Donna) of Alix, AB; as well as one sister Alice (Bob) Carlin of Chase, B.C., and special friend Lise (Boesgaard) Kondrat. He was predeceased by his parents, Olive and Robert, his wife, Alice; brother, Roy (Gwen), sister, Mary (Cleo) Toepfer as well as his sister-in-law Velma. Ted worked for various trucking firms in his early years. He hauled for Magcobar out of Blackfalds, AB for a few years before going into the Motel business. Ted owned and operated motels in Hanna, Whitecourt and Manning, AB. Ted also worked as a driver for many years at the Red Deer Advocate. In his later years he began buying, selling and breeding horses. This was what he really enjoyed. In Memory of the late Ted Russell, a Memorial Tea will be held at The Royal Canadian Legion, 2810 Bremner Avenue, Red Deer, AB on Wednesday, March 12th, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, c/o Central Alberta Cancer Centre, P.O.
