OSTRANDER Elaine Elsie Ostrander (Mudd) passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family in Red Deer on August 18, 2005. She joins her parents; Art and Esther Mudd, brother, Stanley, sisters; Lorraine and Kay and her loving husband, Bob. Elaine leaves to mourn, her daughter, Marriette (Dave) Williams, grandsons; Rob and Brad Burgess, daughter, Brenda (Jim) MacDonald, grandson, Mitchell, granddaughters; Nicole and Natasha, son, Jeff (Genevieve), sisters; Esther (Jim) Healy and June (Bill) Moffatt, brothers; Bill (Alma) Mudd, Art (Carole) Mudd, Albert (Fran) Mudd, and Ron (Sharon) Mudd, brother-in-law, Fred Miller as well as many nieces and nephews, special daughter, Marilyn Jones, Elaine’s faithful pet, Kayla and so many special friends so dear to her heart. Elaine was born to Art and Esther Mudd in Moosomin, Saskatchewan on September 6, 1937. She married Robert Ostrander on November 17, 1956 and they farmed for many years in Saskatchewan before moving to Red Deer in 1979. Elaine will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She had a huge, loving, heart that she so freely gave to each and everyone that touched her life. Her strong will and determination never faltered in her treatments or the fight to find a cure for Inflammatory Breast Cancer. A Funeral Service will be held at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 – 67 Street) on Monday, August 22, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend James Culham officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Red Deer Regional Hospital Cancer Clinic (PO Box 5030 Stn Postal Box Ctr, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 9Z9) would be appreciated.
