Eleane PATTON

PATTON Eleane Cecelia Patton (Blair) passed away peacefully at Red Deer Nursing Home on September 15, 2004. She was born April 7, 1920 at Carmangay, Alberta. She leaves to mourn two sons: John (Shirley), Victor (Susan); and five daughters: Frances Hanzel, Cecelia Robicheau, Yvonne Chaytors, Dorathy May (Russell) Patton-Green (Bill), and Annette (Don) Gallant; one brother L.R. Blair; two sisters Ethel Brown and Ella (Louis) Albert; seven grandsons; six granddaughters; two grandsons-in-law; three granddaughters-in-law; six great grandsons; three great granddaughters; three great-great-grandsons; four great-great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Francis (Frank) in 1978, her parents William and Blanche Blair; 3 brothers and 1 sister; 2 grandsons: David Robicheau (1993) and Brent Rhodes (1986), and one granddaughter Lois Anne Robicheau (1964). Eleane married Frank in 1938 in Red Deer; they farmed in the Arbutus district of Rocky Mountain House until 1951 when they moved to Calgary. In 1961 they moved to Athabasca, and then to Gleichen in 1974. In 1991 she moved to Bowden. She had worked at the Holy Cross Hospital for many years, and was a cook on the oil rigs. She was a square dancer with the Swinging Singles in Calgary, the Sundre Square Dancer Club and Cotton Wood Dance Club out of Innisfail, AB, and was also a member of the Olds Square Dance Club. A Graveside Service will be held at the Gleichen Cemetery, Gleichen, Alberta on Monday, September 20, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Eleane's memory directly to the Parkinson' Society of Southern Alberta, 480D-36 Ave. SE, Calgary, AB, T2G 1W4, or the Medicine River Rehabilitation Center for Wild Life, PO Box 115, Spruce View, AB T0M 1V0.
