Elie GOUGEON

GOUGEON Elie Joseph passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at the Red Deer Nursing Home at the age of seventy-eight years. Elie was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba. He was the second youngest of eleven children to Mr. and Mrs. Elie and Bernadette Gougeon. He worked for D.N.D. for thirty-five years, fourteen of which were in Churchill, Manitoba and twenty-one years in Shilo, Manitoba. He resided in Brandon, Manitoba until 1996 and then moved to Alberta with his wife Irene. Elie enjoyed golf, hockey and his family. He will lovingly be remembered and sadly missed by his loving wife Irene, his children Wayne, Curt (Peggy), Brenda, Greg (Candace), Linda (Daniel), grandchildren Alieshia, Cory, Ryan, Angela, Michelle, Ashley and Taylor and great grandchild Trevor. At Elie's request there will be no funeral but a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In living memory of Elie a tree will be planted in Parkland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the donor's choice.
