Elizabeth LONGSTAFF

LONGSTAFF, Elizabeth Daphne (formerly Whiteford, nee Willans) February 24, 1920-August 28, 2006 Elizabeth passed away peacefully in the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre after a short illness at the age of 86 years. She was born in Calgary into a ranching family and was raised and lived in the foothills area all her early life. She married the late F/L Bruce Whiteford in 1942. They had a daughter, Ann, and three sons - Trevor, Norman, and Richard. Bruce died in 1964, and Elizabeth remarried in 1981 to John Longstaff. They resided in Red Deer where John died in 2005. Elizabeth is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Terry Whiteford of Edmonton, Alberta; her grandson, Deane Whiteford of Whitehorse, Yukon; and her granddaughter Lindsey Whiteford of Kelowna, BC. She will be missed greatly. At Elizabeth's request there will be no service.
