CHRISTENSEN Elna Dorothy Christensen, formally of Spruce View and Innisfail passed away in Strathmore on Saturday, July 23, 2005 at the age of 85 years. Elna was born on February 9, 1920 in Calgary and was one of 10 children born to Anna and Thomas Dahl. She leaves to mourn and celebrate her life, her children, Norval (Kay) of Campbell River and their children Kermit (Betty), Tera (Tim), and Kristy (Ed); Dennis (Betty) of Rosebud and their sons Calvin (Diane) and Brad (Tammy); Howie of Lethbridge and children A.J. and Jenna; Milt (Diane) of Chestermere and sons Scott (Janice) and Stuart (Elizabeth); Tom (Donna) of Standard and their children, Lisa, Brendan, and Kent; Glen (Bonnie) of Medicine Hat and son Tony. She was also very proud to have raised three foster children Tim and Audrey Lang and Greg Fawcett. Survivors also include 10 great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. Elna was predeceased by her husband, Oscar in 1980, all of her 9 siblings and one great grandchild. Memorial tributes in Elna’s honor may be made to the Innisfail Hospital, Ladies Auxiliary, 5023 – 42 Street, Innisfail, AB, T4G 1A9, or the 4-H Foundation, Battle River Camp. R.R. 1 Westerose, AB. T0C 2V0. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethany Lutheran Church, Dickson, Alberta with Pastor Randy Fiege officiating.
