AVERILL Elwood Marvin "Woody" Averill formally of Sundre, AB passed away at the Innisfail Hospital on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at the age of 69 years. Woody will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Rowena Averill, his children: Lonny (Debbie), Sherry (Jack), and Colin. Woody's memory will be further cherished by his five grandchildren, two brothers: Wayne (Marie) and Lynn (Sheila) as well as two sisters: Janet and Willow (Bob), as well as many relatives and friends. Woody was predeceased by his father, Chester and his brother, Ralph. Woody was born in Central Butte and moved to Central Alberta in 1962, where he farmed for many years. Woody had a passion for horses and realized his dream when he designed and created the building and operations of the James River Horse Palace. A Memorial Tea will be held at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 - 67A Street, Red Deer, AB on Friday, October 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial Donations may be directed to a charity of choice.
