EGLESE, Emerson Jacob

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Emerson Eglese announces his sudden passing on August 12, 2017. He leaves to mourn his parents David and Karan Eglese, brother Elliot (special friend Evette), his best friend Sarah along with numerous family and friends who loved him dearly.

Emerson was predeceased by his grandpa Ewald Stickelmier of Medicine Hat, AB and Grandad Ted and Grandma Rita Eglese of Vernon, BC.

In 2004, he graduated from the H. J. Cody High School in Sylvan Lake. He then apprenticed and obtained his Journeyman Ticket in welding. Later on, he formed his own welding company, Oerlikon Industries Ltd. During the slow down in the oil industry of 2015, Emerson decided to move on to bigger and better dreams. With his trailer loaded he moved to Seattle where he attended the Kirby Morgan Divers Institute of Technology, where he was certified in commercial diving, in June 2017.

He excelled at many sports and activities that he pursued which included hockey, soccer, golfing, fishing and the list goes on. Camping and quadding were a favorite past time of Emerson's. Friends and family will have many memories to cherish of his adventures.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday August 19, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Community Centre in Sylvan Lake, AB 5012 - 48 Ave. As an expression of sympathy, the family requests a donation to be made to Alberta Mental Health.
